Is it bad to drink green tea almost every day?
I drink a lot of green tea and grey tea. Is it as bad as coffee? And is there something bad about drinking specifically green tea? I’ve heard myths about it making you infertile.
Green tea is making the news everyday about the wonderful health benefits it contains. It is important that if you are really concerned about your health, drinking loose leaf tea will give you the maximum health benefits.Tea bought in a store in tea bags is a low grade product.
BTW, if you add milk to your tea you loose the health benefit.
You must also consider what you put into your tea. Drinking green tea will not make you infertile.
Need answer from someone who drinks alot of energy drinks simply put i peed green?
i have been drinking energy drinks for years now but something very odd happened, a few minutes ago i went to the bathroom and my urine was green like a lime green (im 100% serious) now i have drank energy drinks all day today and pissed and it had just been clear, is this safe or normal? should i consult my doctor? for some extra insight ive drank 2 Rockstars and a Beaver Buzz Green Tea today, has anyone else had a similar experience?
I’ve never drank energy drinks, but I have peed green–It happened after eating a lot of vegetables that were a very dark shade of green (asparagus and spinach to name two). It most likely was due to the colorants I’m assuming are in the "Beaver Buzz Green Tea" and quite possibly the "Rockstars" (not sure what color those are).
Peeing pale or clear is normal when you drink a lot of liquids–The more you drink, the less color your urine will have.
Putting chemicals in water filter in aquarium to balance PH and chem levels?
Recommended or not? Is this a good way to dilute the chemicals in the water so they don’t become too harsh on the fish, yet remain effective enough to balance the ph, nitrites, and ammonia levels? I would like to just add chems, kinda of intravenously thru the filter behind the media. And does this effect my bio wheel permanently? Can the bio wheel regenerate bacteria anyway and remain effective?
NOT recommended.
Adjusting pH is not only un-necessary, it’s also a lot more technical than it may seem. There are only 2 situations that I would advise it. African Cichlids, they prefer hard water and a high pH, easy enough to achieve, just add some cichlids salt (calcium, magnesium and sodium). The other is if you have hard water and need it soft and low pH, maybe for breeding Discus. But adding chemicals wont fix that. You can bring the pH down, but the hardness and total dissolved solids are actually higher. In that case you need to actually Remove something from the water, best way to do that is a Reverse Osmosis filter.
As for Nitrite and Ammonia, thats the main reason you have a filter, chemical fixes for that are only band-aids at best. You need to get your filter cycled and let those nice bacteria grow on the bio-wheel. They will happily ‘eat’ the ammonia that the fish are producing. They will leave nitrate, and you get rid of with regular water changes.
So really, the only chemical you should need to add to the tank is Water Conditioner, in case there is any chlorine residue in the tap water.
